The book was created by local photographer Iina Askonen and Salla Saarela, a writer with roots in the Tornio River Valley, who, through the Original Lapland project, had the opportunity to showcase the cherished cuisine culture of the Tornio River Valley. The book pays homage to pure ingredients, authentic flavors, and the nature of the Tornio River Valley. Through mood-setting snippets of stories and stunning photographs, the book paints a picture of life in the Tornio River Valley between the lines.
